‘Tell me I am pretty so I can sleep at night’

Two authors, a photographer and a writer. He in love with her, she in love with a woman.

The project tells the story of an unrequited love and documents how the feeling of desire can overpower one. It’s part of every human being, wanting to be desired but at the same time the denial of it.

That force and inexhaustible, suffocating energy, penned down in diary fragments in the course of four years.

His pen, their story with the motive of the obsessive force of the unreachable muse pitted against the pure urge of wanting to be desired. Her pictures, purely instinctive, as a metaphor of his longing and the texts that spring from it.

However complex the relation was, the story does not only end in a book, but also in a relationship in which lust-love-friendship and, above all, patience take the center stage.
